Reportedly, the transaction prices of the US container HMS 80:20 (1&2) to Taiwan surged to US$370/ton C&F last week.

It's learned that an electric furnace (EF) mill in northern Taiwan bought 3,500 tons of scraps from the US suppliers with US$370/ton C&F last week.

Industry sources said that the Taiwanese steel mills have no chance but to accept the high prices of the US scraps due to shortage of the local scraps.
